Just 3 years ago I was told that I had a condition called MDS which stands for Mosaic Down Syndrome. When I learned about it, it made me feel better about my self towards my learning disability.  I don't criticize myself now and i don't put myself down about my learning challenges. Finding out that I had this condition made me feel a lot better about myself.    After I found out I had Mosaic Down Syndrome I became am an ambassador/ advocate for the IMDSA (International Mosaic Down Syndrome Association). I speak about it and I want to educate people about it.

MDS - Mosaic Down Syndrome : A genetic condition like regular Down Syndrome, but there is a slight difference to Mosaic Down Syndrome. In Down Syndrome ALL of there blood cells have the extra chromosome. With Mosaic Down Syndrome there is the extra chromosome but NOT all of the blood cells have the extra chromosome. That is why it's called Mosaic because the cells that have the extra chromosome are hard to detect because they could be anywhere in the body.

This is a small understanding of what MDS is, there is tons of more information about it on the website of the IMDSA and learn a lot about it.
If you have questions about it please be free to ask, I am very open about it...
